Another Hillsborough Republican Racist Obama Joke

David Storck was forced to step down as Hillsborough County Republican Party chairman. Storck forwarded a racist email with the goal of helping John McCain defeat Barack Obama. Needless to say, Obama won Florida and Hillsborough County.

Apparently, the HCRP didn't learn their lesson. HCRP committeewoman Carol Carter made a disparaging email remark about the intelligence of black people.

I have been asked to send this apology for my earlier email. I am sorry that it was received in a negative manner. I do hope that we are going to be allowed to keep our sense of humor.

As you can now see, it went to very few people. I did add Todd Marks in this apology, as he is in the mix now. I am also sorry to learn that some of these persons are not real team players. There really was no reason for this to go beyond those that I emailed ( 8 people). This was not an email blast as I do not have that capability.

Carter is sorry because RPoF chairman Jim Greer may force her to step down.

"Carol Carter has been a hard-working, loyal Republican for many years, but this action I have no tolerance for, regardless of the circumstances or intent," a furious Greer said of Carter's e-mail reported tonight on The Buzz. "I am currently considering all options, including my authority to revoke her from the office of state committeewoman. I'm pretty much done with those sorts of inappropriate and, and - I am at a loss for words. I just came back from Washington D.C. working to get our first African-American elected as (Republican National Committee) chairman. It's one thing to have a person express their thoughts and humor. It's another to have a leader of the Republican party. I'm just done with it."

The Republican Party is at a crossroads. Jeb Bush wants to reach out to Hispanics. Greer has been actively courting black voters. The majority of the party is stuck in the Southern strategy. This fearmongering is bad for the country and political discourse. This is a battle within the GOP that will play out for the next several years.

Update: Carter resigned.

My troll traffic came from the online forum Niggerfuxation and TNB. A sample of their thoughless prose.

I just sent Jim Greer an e-mail calling him a butt buddy for Niggers (not those words, but that his essentially what I said) Called him a spineless coward.

Their oh-so-unbrave anonymous N&TNB posters called me an "ass" and a "libtard." That is better than being a bigot.

Hillsborough County Republican Party Hate Email

Hillsborough County Republican Party chairman David Storck forwarded an email he received from volunteer Ron Whitley. ""If you think it can help us win this election please pass it on," wrote Storek. If by help, Storek means placing racial fearmongering then mission accomplished. Storek at first attempted to defend the email.

"We need to get off our butts and vote, too."

Storek then backtracked: "It's one of hundreds of e-mails I sent out... It was a mistake."

Whitney did conservative 101 by using the caps keys for EVERY WORD TO PROVE HE IS SERIOUS.

How exactly is Obama going to curtail free speech? McCain supporters throw out asinine accusations without facts. Ad hominem attacks are all these people have. Obama's tax system is far from socialist. The middle class and poor will get better tax relief than under John McCain's tax plan.



The questions that should be asked is how is Obama and McCain plan on dealing with the deficit? What economic stimulus spending would they approve to boost the economy? The Economic Policy Institute released a graph showing that stimulus towards the poor have a greater positive impact on the economy.



It is unsurprising that food stamps would have a positive economic benefit. People need to eat. The Bush tax cuts are a proven loser. Wayne Huizenga can whine about the capital gains tax and being forced to sell 50 percent the Miami Dolphins for meager $500 million. I have blogged about how sports franchises have little positive economic impact on communities.

How is Obama going to drastically cut defense spending with two wars going on? Troops will be in Iraq most of Obama's first term. Obama wants to increase troop numbers in Afghanistan and launch cross border attacks into Pakistan, to find Taliban and al-Qaeda fighters. Sam Nunn said, "National missile defense has become a theology in the United States, not a technology." Obama has sent mixed signals about missile defense. McCain's own web site says:

This process gives Congressional committees less ability to closely scrutinize defense budget requests to ensure military funding is being budgeted wisely. It makes possible Congressional pork-barrel spending that diverts scarce defense resources to parochial home-state interests. And it allows the administration to add spending above that set by budget caps, bloating the federal deficit.

Conservatives fail to mention McCain proposing cuts in Defense pork. McCain has vowed to veto any bill that contains earmarks. Including defense spending.

A Congressional Budget Office study found the Iraq and Afghanistan wars will cost $2,400,000,000,000 by 2017. The cost is lowballed because the Defense Department's bookkeeping hasn't reported all expenses. At this rate, defense spending will continue to increase, regardless of what party is in the White House.
