What is scary is Dupuy's Carol Lynn Price comes off as tame compared to the insanity of Christine O'Donnell. Sharron Angle and Sarah Palin. Christine O'Donnell said it is not up to Congress to decide if "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" should be changed. O'Donnell claims only the military should make that decision. The one problem with that is Congress passed the "DADT law. O'Donnell is making the legally bizarre argument that the military can ignore the branch of government that makes its rules.

The military can not just ignore the laws Congress makes for it. That would be unconstitional. Instead of O'Donnell having the guts to say she supports DADT; she makes a lagally unsound argument. The woman doesn't even know what a Senator does in office. That doesn't stop her from running for the Senate.

Greg Sargent broke the story that O'Donnell falsely put University of Oxford as a school she attended on her LinkedIn profile. O'Donnell has since taken down her profile. Oops.

It is bad when Christine O'Donnell has to release an ad telling Delaware voters that she is not a witch. O'Donnell tells voters, "I'm you." If be "you" O'Donnell means conspriracy theories about mice with human brains and being sued to repay student loans then she is a very small segment of Delaware voters.

Lest there be any doubt, if I were a resident of Delaware, I would vote for O'Donnell. That is because she is far preferable to her "bearded Marxist" opponent. But O'Donnell is, nevertheless, a lousy candidate. I'm sorry, but politics is not about snatching random people out of the crowd and making them one of 100 United States Senators. Those who seek high office need to be qualified as leaders. They must be thoughtful and intelligent; they must have accomplishments in the public, or, better yet, the private sphere.

Christine O'Donnell has none of the above qualities. If the best we can say about her is that her "dabbling in witchcraft" is excusable, I rest my case. She will be a laughingstock for the next six weeks, I fear, and then will be clobbered in the general election. Whether this is better or worse than having Mike Castle as a Senator is a legitimately debatable point. But I don't see how any conservative can deny that it would be better if the Republican Party had nominated a stronger and more qualified conservative to represent Delaware in the Senate.

Crime reporter Dan Moldea interviewed police officers involved investigation. Moldea told Salon that the police were correct to conclude Foster's death was a suicide.

How did you go about investigating Vincent Foster's death?

I did what no one else had done -- I went to every single cop involved in this case -- whether he was involved in the crime scene search or part of the official investigation. I saw all the crime scene photographs and I saw all the autopsy photographs. I don't think I was prevented from seeing any of the documents I wanted to see. I am a bona fide crime reporter with great -- and loyal -- sources in law enforcement. I've been doing this for 24 years and you get to know people.

And from those sources and documents it was clear to you that Foster committed suicide.

Yes. It was a no-brainer. But I also looked into the aftermath of the suicide: the search of Foster's office, which led to the discovery of the torn-up note, which led to the interviews that law enforcement conducted, which confirmed, finally, that Foster had, in fact, committed suicide.

NRSC Won't Back O'Donnell

Erick Erickson tweeted this.

NRSC saying it won't help O'Donnell. Good thing for O'Donnell given the NRSC track record.

Good. That gives Chris Coons a better chance to win. O'Donnell will have a harder time matching Coons for campaign money. The latest report shows Coons with $944,230 cash on-hand. O'Donnell only has $20,374 on-hand. O'Donnell is going to have a hard time buying television ads in the Delaware Valley market with her limited funds.

Part of the reason the NRSC is not backing O'Donnell is because the Republican Party of Delaware has filed a lawsuit against her. The lawsuit contends O'Donnell went outside the GOP to collect campaign contributions from the Tea Party Express.

The complaint alleges that the O'Donnell campaign is "knowingly accepting illegal campaign contributions from the Tea Party Express PAC." It cites two "alarming" instances:

-- O'Donnell has knowingly accepted excessive contributions from the Tea Party Express that were directly solicited on behalf of the O'Donnell campaign, according to the filing.

-- O'Donnell has accepted illegal excessive contributions from the Tea Party Express by engaging in a statewide coordinated communications effort in support of her campaign. This means, according to the complaint, that every advertisement that is being run by the Tea Party Express in support of Ms. O'Donnell is a violation of Federal law.

The Republican Party of Delaware wants the Federal Election Commission to investigate Christine O'Donnell. The RDP has filed a complaint alleging O'Donnell has been collaborating with the Tea Party Express.

The complaint alleges that the O'Donnell campaign is "knowingly accepting illegal campaign contributions from the Tea Party Express PAC." It cites two "alarming" instances:

-- O'Donnell has knowingly accepted excessive contributions from the Tea Party Express that were directly solicited on behalf of the O'Donnell campaign, according to the filing.

-- O'Donnell has accepted illegal excessive contributions from the Tea Party Express by engaging in a statewide coordinated communications effort in support of her campaign. The complaint also accuses O'Donnell of accepting above the $5,000 limit on Tea Party Express PAC. All PACs are limited to $5,000 dollar contributions.

Mike Castle is the establishment candidate Delaware Republicans are backing. O'Donnell is the Tea Party candidate running as a Republican. TPAC (Tea Party Express PAC) is not recognized as a Republican Party PAC. In other words, O'Donnell is accepting money from another political party.

Christine O'Donnell Against Spanking the Monkey

Delaware Tea Party darling Christine O'Donnell is anti-masturbation.

The Huffington Post reports that O'Donnell was on a Sex In The 90s special on MTV. (Remember those?) "The Bible says that lust in your heart is committing adultery. So you can't masturbate without lust," she said, adding. "The reason that you don't tell [people] that masturbation is the answer to AIDS and all these other problems that come with sex outside of marriage is because again it is not addressing the issue. You're just gonna create somebody who is, I was gonna say, toying with his sexuality. Pardon the pun."

There goes the videogamer vote.

In rated news: Redstate.com founder Erick Erickson is pulling support fro O'Donnell because of anti-gay against Republican opponent Mike Castle.

Subsequently, a number of the affiliated individuals went and worked directly for Christine O’Donnell’s campaign. A few weeks ago they left. Around that time I began hearing rumors the O’Donnell campaign was imploding.

The gang that left resurfaced at Liberty.com. The launch day spectacular at Liberty.com was to announce that Mike Castle is having a gay affair on his wife with no proof whatsoever.

When it was pointed out that all the people behind the accusation were O’Donnell campaign staffers, the response was “not any more.”

After a year of direct and indirect advocacy for Christine O’Donnell, it is pretty doggone hard to now stand apart and say “Nope, not campaign related.”
