US News and World Report says that Crist met privately with First Lady Michelle Obama today and she thanked him for endorsement.

I Have No Faith in Faith-Based Initiatives

President Barack Obama courageously panders to Christian conservatives who will never vote for him.

Speaking with Barbara Walters, Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama also described how they involve their daughters in daily prayer.

"Michelle and I have not only benefited from our prayer life, but I think the girls have too," the president told Walters. "We say grace before we eat dinner every night. We take turns."

"[I]n the end, we always say we hope we live long and strong," the first lady said.

"Long and strong. And that we give back."

The Bush administration used the Faith-based Initiative to promote their false Christian values. Evangelical David Kuo worked in setting up the Bush administration's faith-based program. Kuo remembers Karl Rove giving the very unchristian commandment, "Just get me a fucking faith based thing. Got it?

It is actually hard to find out what Obama's Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships has actually accomplished. The faith-based agenda died because of the Bush administration's own neglect.

Obama signed an executive order the guidelines the Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships. It is hard to find what positive results have come from Obama's faith-based efforts.

During the 2008 election, Obama said that religious institutions must end discriminatory hiring practices, in order to get federal money. Obama backed off that vow after getting elected. What seems to be clear is Obama, like Bush, wants to please religious voters. The bigger story is there is an no tangible benefit from using federal money for faith-based policies. There are no great faith-based success stories the government can point to. The media should report that the Bush and Obama faith-based initiative are the federal government's version of the emperor with no clothes.

Douchebag of the Day: Neil Cavuto

Michelle Obama was giving a moving speech on the passengers of United 93. Obama was about to tell the audience about the moment the passengers took action against the hijackers. Fox News was not about to allow Michelle Obama have a momerable television moment on their network. Neil Cavuto cut in during the crucial moment of Obama's speech. Cavuto described Obama's husband as "a nobody" when the 9-11 attacks occurred. Fox News never fails to disgust me.

Yes, Fox News is Racist

Young Turks host Cenk Uygur plays an audio clip of a racist leaving a bizarre rant on the NAACP's voicemail. The racist uses the N word and falsely accuses the NAACP of wanting the redistribution of wealth and killing babies. I agree with Uygur about the conservative media panders to a racist audience.

Glenn Beck accused President Barack Obama of being a racist.

This morning on Fox and Friends, Fox host Glenn Beck accused President Obama of being "a racist."

The group was discussing the recent Gates controversy, and Beck exclaimed that Obama has "over and over again" exposed himself as "a guy who has a deep-seated hatred for white people or the white culture. I don't know what it is..."

Beck fails to mention to fact that Obama's mother is white. Beck again accused Obama of being racist towards BP CEO Tony Hayward.

BECK: “What is it that Barack Obama knows that he won’t even bother to meet with the guy to hear him out? Well, until, you know, he changed his mind a couple of days later. What is it that the dictator of Iran, the crazy guy in Iran has in the credibility department that the CEO of BP doesn’t have? What is it? Tell me. I’d like to know. Does the fact the BP CEO is a capitalist — does that — is that what does it? You know, when I meet with those capitalists — he’s a white CEO. Maybe that’s it. He’s a white CEO. White CEOs — I don’t know if you know this — but white CEOs, they don’t like to — they don’t want to pay their tax dollars and have those tax dollars go to inner-city kids.

Apparently, Beck believes holding Hayward accounting for an environmental disaster his company caused is racism.

Bill O'Reilly used the word "lynching" in reference to Michelle Obama.

"I don't want to go on a lynching party against Michelle Obama unless there's evidence, hard facts, that say this is how the woman really feels. If that's how she really feels -- that America is a bad country or a flawed nation, whatever -- then that's legit. We'll track it down."

O'Reilly ate at Harlem restaurant and was shocked to find out that black people had manners in a restaurant.

O’REILLY: You know, I mean, everybody was — it was like going into an Italian restaurant in an all-white suburb in the sense of people were sitting there, and they were ordering and having fun. And there wasn’t any kind of craziness at all.

Fox News coarsens the political and racial dialogue in America. The wonderful First Amendment protects Beck's and O'Reilly's to air their stupidity. That doesn't mean the White House should cave in by firing Shirly Sherrod. Unfortunately, the Obama administration hasn't shown anything resembling a bonebone.

Remember when Barack and Michelle Obama affectionately bumped fists and Fox News immediately called it a secret terrorist handshake? Either former Fox News' anchor E.D. Hill attends all of al-Qaeda's meetings or she has never been around black people. Gawker celebrates the one year aniversary of the Obama fist jab.

Sarah Palin's Hypocrisy

Sarah Palin believes her family is off-limits, but she is free to take shots at Michelle Obama.

"They loved their country in good times and bad, and they are always proud of America," Palin said an obvious dig at Michelle Obama, during her remarks about her small-town roots.

Barack Obama did a classy move and not used Bristol Palin's pregnancy as a campaign issue. I thought it was politicaly stupid. However, Obama wants to maintain an image as a positive campaigner. I didn't think he would survive the Hillary Clinton attacks. Obama is savvy enough to use the Palin attacks to raise $8 million.

An Obama aide confirms Drudge's report that Obama has raised about $8 million from more than 130,000 donors and is on pace to raise $10 million by the time McCain reaches the stage tonight.

UPDATE: Obama spokesman Bill Burton says, "Sarah Palin's attacks have rallied our supporters in ways we never expected. And we fully expect John McCain's attacks tonight to help us make our grass-roots organization even stronger."
