Totally F**ked

Totally Fucked – Spring Awakening

MP3 search on MP3hunting

The song is from the musical Spring Awakening. The song sounds closer to So-Cal punk than a traditional musical.

Don't Do Sadness/Blue Wind From Spring Awakening

This is from the final Broadway performance of Spring Awakening. I think it is back on Broadway now. Don't ask me why I started watching rock musicals on Youtube.

Jennifer Damiano - Nothing Ever Hurt Like You

Jennifer Damiano is in the Tony award and Pulitzer prize-winning musical Next to Normal. The play deals with bipolar disorder, drug abuse and a dysfunctional family. Needless to say, no one will confuse the adult themes and rock score of N2N with Carousel.

The song Nothing Ever Hurt Like You is not from N2N. It is a cover of a James Morrison song. I have heard both versions and found Damiano's rendition more soulful.

Great Acting Moments: Brando & Leigh

A Streetcar Named Desire took a toll on Marlon Brando and Vivien Leigh. Brando hated the long Broadway run and never did another play. Brando broke his nose boxing during the run and was happy for the layoff.

Leigh was manic depressive and her stunt doing the West End production and film version of Streetcar wore her down.

"I had nine months in the theatre of Blanche DuBois. Now she's in command of me," Leigh said.

This is the infamous rape scene. It is a credit to Brando and Leigh that they can make such vile people so watchable. Their is nothing redeeming about Stanley Kowalski and Blanche DuBois.
