John Bolton couldn't even get confirmed for United Nations ambassador by a Republican Senate. "The Secretariat building in New York has 38 stories," said Bolton. "If you lost ten stories today, it wouldn't make a bit of difference." A former Bush administration that served in government during the 9/11 attacks and publicly stated he didn't care if the U.N. was attacked, claims a Barack Obama presidency will unleash more attacks.



BOLTON: Yeah I think honestly that’s an optimistic view of it, that it will simply be a replay of the Clinton administration. It will simply have more embassy bombings, more bombings of our warships like the Cole, more World Trade Center attacks. That would be the best outcome from that perspective.

These neoconservatives love fear-mongering. They don't provide hope or solutions. They just tell us that war will continue (under their watch) and those that oppose their policies will bring attacks to U.S. soil. The Republican Party is still channeling Joe McCarthy's ghost.

John Gibson Has Foot In Mouth Disease

John Gibson mocked Heath Ledger's death on his radio show. The reason seemed to be that Ledger played a gay man in the movie Brokeback Mountain. Gibson defended his remarks by saying, "There's no point in passing up a good joke."

GIBSON: OK, anyway, Heath Ledger died, and I'm sure people will be upset. All you Brokeback Mountain fans, you want to give Christine a call, she'll be happy to talk to you.

John Gibson now targets Rachel Maddow of Air America and MSNBC. Gibson aired the audio track "Ooh, lesbians! Yummy!" when talking about Maddow. Gibson joked, "Have I told told you about the people on the island of Lezbos? Nevermind."

This clown never learns. Something tells me his public apology for his Ledger comments weren't sincere.

Fox News is getting so bad they are making claims about Bush's presidency that are hysterical. John Gibson's punditry reads like The Onion.

On another front we have full employment, and the economy is sailing strong into a storm of $100 a barrel oil.

On yet another front, a published report today said that homelessness is virtually over. People may have crushing mortgages, but they have homes.

So all in all, the war is going in our favor. Proof of that is that Democrats have shut up about it. Bush has made sure you have a job, and this economy has insured you have a home.

I'm disappointed that Gibson didn't credit Bush with curing cancer.

The economy and mortgages are in bad shape. Canada is getting nervous about the weak U.S. dollar. Federal Reverse Chairman Bernanke said the dollar and higher oil prices ""were likely to increase overall inflation in the short run, and, should inflation expectations become unmoored, had the potential to boost inflation in the longer run as well."

Contrary to Gibson's claim: there are still homeless people in America.

The number of chronically homeless people across the United States has dropped by 11.5 percent thanks to an increased focus on providing counseling and housing rather than police crackdowns or emergency shelter beds, federal officials said Wednesday.

The drop was reflected in a report released by the Department of Housing and Urban Development showing that between 2005 and 2006, the number of chronically homeless people in America's streets declined from 175,900 to 155,600. The data came from homeless counts conducted in 3,900 cities and counties, including San Francisco and other Bay Area cities.

Perhaps Gibson will claim tax cuts help get people off the streets. It wouldn't be any less absurb than how he twisted the HUD's report.
