Alex Sink Leading Mason-Dixon Poll

The negative attacks Bill McCollum and Rick Scott have hurled at each other are helping Alex Sink. Pollster Brad Coker said, "Democratic candidate Alex Sink is the clear winner from all of this."

In the latest Mason-Dixon poll, Sink leads McCollum 37 percent to 35 percent. She leads Scott 40 percent to 24 percent.

Coker told the Orlando Sentinel Scott's tenure at Columbia/HCA and the Medicare fraud the company was busted on is hurting him. Scott is facing another Medicare scandal with revelations about his company Solantic used two doctors' signatures without consent for billing.

Coker also believes Scott is oversaturated with too many early ad buys. It is actually the kind of ads Scott has been running. Republican voters have publicly expressed concern to Scott that the negative ads he is running would help Alex Sink. That is exactly what is happening. Scott isn't selling a message of hope and change. He is too tainted and too mean-spirited to ever convincingly pull that off. In order for Scott to win, he has to be the political equivalent of a monkey throwing shit on other monkeys. The problem for Scott is the is no way to pull off that strategy without getting shit on his hands.
