Andrew Breitbart to Speak In Tampa

Florida Senate President Jeff Atwater might want to explain why he is appearing in Tampa with Andrew Breitbart at the Florida Transparency Summit. The event is hosted the the conservative James Madison Institute. The summit will take place in downtown Tampa.

It is hard to take Breitbart seriously as an advocate for transparency when he attacked ACORN and Shirley Sherrod with doctored videotapes. Breitbart has also been invited to speak at an RNC fundrasier. Republicans such as Atwater and Michael Steele should be asked if they are bothered by Breitbart's lack of journalistic ethics and constant race-baiting. Sane minds would not want to be associated with Breitbart's antics. Instead, Republicans are treating the disgraced Breitbart as a hero.

It said President Atwater was (invited)? Can we confirm he is attending before we blackball him?

Pull up the invite you posted Michael. Right under President Atwater's picture it says (invited), right? Unless you have an agenda that you didn't post. Which if that's the case, I stand corrected.

I can ask Atwater how he feels about Breitbart. You insist on splitting hairs. Atwater is listed as one of the speakers of the policy panel. Invited or not voters have a right to ask him if he supports Bretbart. You insist on splitting hairs. I am well aware that "invited" is under Atwater's name. That still doesn't change the thesis of my post.

What you are doing is Instpundit style hair-splitting that has nothing to do with my original point. Atwater is listed as a speaker of the policy panel. I don't think the James Madison Institute just pulled his name out of there ass. If they were going to do that they would put Marco Rubio on the bill. It is fair to ask Atwater if he supports Breitbart and the James Madison Institute.

The second point of my post is that Breitbart has been repeatedly shown to use doctored videotapes to smear political opponents. Instead of being shunned by the Right; Bretbart is treated like a hero for his bogus jouralism. You don't like the post so you stay stuck on "invited." Did anyone invite you to my blog. You might want to confirm if I invited you before you smear me. Unless of hear some agenda you didn't mention in your comments.

Wow, I thought politicians have egos! But I guess a guy who feels so important and influential that he creates a cut and paste website of other people’s news articles so he can comment on them should have given me a clue as to your ego.

It’s funny how you refer to splitting hairs when it comes to facts. I bet your ego inflated comments could not be held back if it were an elected official answering “you’re splitting hairs” when asked to clarify the truth before they continued. Like most people, you impose different standards to others than you do yourself.

Although, the funniest piece of your tirade was when you said, “you might want to confirm if I invited you before you smear me”. LOL, re-read my first post. I asked if ‘we could confirm he was attending before we blackball him’. How does that ‘smear you’? Oh yeah, I forgot, your ego is so big you reference everything back to yourself. You’re a joke. Thanks for keeping me laughing!

PS- I have no idea who this Breitbart person is and probably would have tried to learn about him if you hadn't gotten you panties in a snit about me asking for confirmation. Therefore, your 'point' is lost once you bring YOUR ego into the discussion.
