Mark Foley Admits He's Gay

No surprise. Foley admits he is gay. He also states he was molested by a clergy member around the age of 13 to 15.

"Finally, Mark Foley wants you to know that he is a gay man," his attorney David Roth said.

Roth prefaced the confessions by saying they are "no excuse, whatsoever for his misconduct."

I often felt that people who suppress their sexuality are the one's who has the most problem. That isn't excusing Foley's behavior. Which may very well be criminal. What I like to see is people get beyond the point of demonizing homosexuality. Politics should not be influenced the the hateful speech of the likes of Jimmy "Kill Gays" Swaggart. He is a preacher who paid for sex. Swaggart should not be taken seriously. Nor Pat Robertson. Who used his charity Operation Rescue his diamond mining business. I seem to remember Jesus saying to cast away worldly possessions if you wanted to follow him.
