The Devil Wears Prada In Tampa
The Tampa City Council rejected Pam Iorio's budget. I don't think voters will be shedding tears.
Tampa resident Sherry Parsons was one of the many homeowners who addressed the council.
"The quality of life has gone down here in Tampa," Parsons said. "I don't care about the Riverwalk. I don't care about the museum. If we haven't decreased the millage rate, now is the time to do it."
The art museum is $20 million. That is a big chunk of change for a project that no one is certain where it will be built. The am not aware how much has been marked for Riverwalk. I do know that taxpayers will have to cough up $16 million for the sidewalk to nowhere.
The good news is Iorio took the news well.
Several council members said they could hear Iorio screaming at the chief of staff through his cell phone. Iorio traditionally does not attend budget hearings.
On Friday, Iorio told the Tribune that "any conversation I have with Darrell Smith is private." Smith said Iorio did not yell at him.
Meet the man who has the worst job in Tampa city government.

If the Devil does where Prada, perhaps she should consider the quality of life for all of those in the Bay area and not just herself. Perhaps, the devil should consider a sale at Payless and pay her tax bill or purchase a home that she can afford. The tax bills are no suprise.
