Herbert Hoover Dike Update

I wrote about the potential dangers the Herbert Hoover Dike breaking or topling. The dike protects surrouning communities from being flooding by Lake Okeechobee. The good news is the Army Corps of Engineers have finally agreed repair the dike so it doesn't break like the New Orleans levees. The cost is estimated at $300 million. That's a lot of tax dollars. The cost of human life and property would be far worse if the dike break during a major hurricane.
