Crist Picks Kottkamp as Running Mate

It is official. Charlie Crist has picked Jeff Kottkamp to be his running mate.

I see this as Crist throwing a bone to Christian fundamentalists. Kottkamp co-sponsored the Parental 3 Notice of Abortion Act. Kottkamp also has a horrible environmental record.

Mr. G is surprised by the pick. I agree with him that Kottkamp adds no name recognition to the campaign. But this about reassuring conservative about Crist's waffling on abortion. Besides, no cares about the Lt. Governor candidates. (Except political junkies and bloggers.)

Update: It appears Kottkamp has a bigger face recognition problem. WCTV thinks he's Steve Bousquet of the St. Petersburg Times.
