Katherine Harris Meltdown

Katherine Harris has changed the locks on her Tampa campaign office. Harris has also accused fellow Republicans of spying on her and has posted a security guard in front of her Tampa office. Jim Dornan, her former campaign manager, said these recent incidents are "unbelievable."

"It smacks of real paranoia," he said of the headquarters lockout and comments about infiltration. "That campaign staff was so loyal to her, and to be treated like that is absolutely unconscionable."

In interviews over the past few weeks, speaking in confidence, former employees from Harris' congressional and campaign staffs said the trauma of the unexpected death of her father has taken a toll.

"She's in total meltdown. The campaign is in chaos," said a longtime Republican operative who worked closely with Harris until recently. "She hasn't mourned for her father." Like many other former staff members interviewed, that GOP operative didn't want to be quoted by name.

This isn't funny. I certainly wouldn't vote her Harris. I hope someone to stages an intervention. I don't believe she's a good or honest politician. I also do not wish personal harm on the woman. I'm not like those sickos at Little Green Footballs that celebrate when the United Nations embassy in Iraq is attacked. Even political opponents should get the mental help they need. Unfortunately, many people in the blogosphere don't seem to understand that.

I'm also aware this could be political spin. If so, it certainly won't help to get Harris elected.
