Obama's Midwest Firewall

Ohio and Wisconsin are part of what the Obama campaign's Midwest firewall. If Team Obama can hold on to both states they are in good shape to win the electoral college. Ohio appears to be in the win column for President Obama. Apparently, someone from the Romney campaign leaked Ohio's internal tracking to CNN.

CNN: Through Sunday, Romney's internal tracking had Obama winning Ohio by 5 points.

Quote of the Day

When Pat Robertson becomes the voice of reason there is something wrong with the current Republican presidential field.

“I believe it was Lyndon Johnson that said, ‘Don’t these people realize if they push me over to an extreme position I’ll lose the election?’” he said. “Those people in the Republican primary have got to lay off of this stuff. They’re forcing their leaders, the frontrunners, into positions that will mean they lose the general election…They’ve got to stop this! It’s just so counterproductive!”

The fact that I agree with Robertson must be a sign of the end of days coming.

Where Are the Young People?

The photo is of the grand opening of the Obama/Biden campaign headquarters in Orlando. This was the caption under the picture.

Creative Loafing's Joe Bardi tweeted this response.

And look how old they are, too.

An early sign that the youth vote won't be there for President Obama in 2012.
