Quote of the Day

"I continue to oppose a third party. I’m just not sure what the Republican Party really stands for any more other than telling Obama no and telling our own corporate interests yes. That’s not much of a platform."

Erick Erickson, writing about the current state of Republican policy making.

Erickson was disappointed by the loss of Chris McDaniel’s loss. Erickson believes the GOP establishment's loyalty to lobbyists with shrink the Republican voting base. This is true. What Erickson will never understand is the tea party's racism and homophobia will drive young voters away. The Republican Party isn't going to change its most self-destructive tendencies until they lose more elections.
