Quote of the Day

"They knew socialism doesn't work. They knew communism doesn't work."

Joe the Plumber, stating the Founding Fathers were against Communism.

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels wrote "The Communist Manifesto" in 1848. The socialist movement started in Western Europe in the 1830s. Communism and Socialism did not exist when the Founding Fathers drafted the Constitution.

Bonus Joe the Plumber quote:

"God, all this love and everything in the room -- I'm horny."

I believe that in general your assessment is correct; however, as I'm sure you can appreciate, Marx and Engles had to get their inspiration from some one or some where.

It is suggested that Feudalism is the precurser of socialism.

And we all remember what Karl Marx stated on his death bed, right?

Whispering, he mentioned to Engles..."...tell them it won't work..." (honest truth!)
