Supreme Court Plays Pussy With Dildos

The Supreme Court refused to hear a case on whether or not it is unconstitutional to ban the sales of dildos in Texas.

An adult bookstore employee in El Paso, Texas, sued the state after his arrest for showing two undercover officers a device shaped like a penis and telling the female officer the device would arouse and gratify her.

The employee, Ignacio Sergio Acosta, says a Texas law outlawing the manufacture, marketing or dissemination of an "obscene device" including those shaped like sex organs is unconstitutional because it prevents individuals from using such devices, violating their right to sexual privacy.

This is the kind of law politicians write to please Christian fundamentalists and prove that they are all about family values. (Sure.) It seems like a pointless law for two reasons. The first is laws are made to protect life liberty and property. The dildo law doesn't fit the criteria. Who is the victim of a dildo sale? Certainly not the retailer. I doubt the woman buying the toy wants to press charges. The other problem is law enforcement officers have better things to do than chasing dildo sales. There are crimes like armed-robbery, drug sales, assault and murders that need attention. Western civilization will not end if dildos are sold.

This post calls for the Dildo Song.
