Saxby Chambliss Inserts Foot In Mouth

Saxby Chambliss stated in a private meeting that the South lost the Civil war because they didn't have better a better intelligence-gathering system.

"If Gen. J.E.B. Stuart had had better intelligence, we'd all be meeting in Richmond right now."

If Senator Chambliss had better intelligence he wouldn't be repeating the mistakes of Trent Lott and George Allen. On face value, the statement itself is not racist. But the fascination these men have for the Confederacy borders on obsession. This war was fought and decided before any of these men were born. Get over it.
