CNBC Sucks So Bad Ratings Are Falling

It is good to see that the daily disaster known as CNBC is experiencing its worst rating since 2005.

CNBC‘s total number of quarterly viewers fell to their lowest level since the second quarter of 2005, and in the all-important age group of 25-54, CNBC witnessed its lowest level quarter since 1994, reports Vikas Shukla of ValueWalk.com

Apparently, people are tuning away from the bogus supply side economics of Larry Kudlow.

Larry Kudlow still talks about the importance of gold. Gold would be important if we still lived in the 19th century economy. Kudlow takes to Twitter to spout inaccurate science.

Crooks and Liars posted this chart to point out how disconnected Kudlow was from the scientific reality of global warming.

Kudlow and his panel accused Occupy Wall Street of being dangerous people prone to violence. One of those people is publicly disgraced journalist Armstrong Williams. If you recall, Williams was paid $240,000 by the Bush administration to say nice things about No Child Left Behind.

The Government Accountability Office ruled that the Williams' contract was illegal "covert propaganda." Williams repaid $34,000 in a settlement with the Justice Department.

Jim Cramer's show is also dropping in the ratings. Perhaps it is because he plays with toys on-the-air and is prone to panic attacks.

CNBC could go off the air tomorrow and the only people that would care is Wall Street firms that get free propaganda.

The Right's Fascism Problem

Michelle Malkin posed for a picture with a man holding a swastika sign. The photo was taken at a Denver, Colorado anti-stimulus package rally. Malkin has made a career out of support of the Japanese internment camps and anti-immigration. Malkin publicly supports the white supremist Minutemen Project.

Glenn Beck, Jonah Goldberg and the sign-carrying Swastika Guy enjoy bringing Neo-Nazism into political discourse. The 2009 version of conservatism is demonizing gays, Hispanics, blacks, Muslims and cutting health care for children.

The last Republican administation illegally wiretapped.

The last Republican administation jailed people without charge.

The last Republican administation paid off Armstrong Williams and Maggie Gallagher for positive media coverage.

The last Republican administation told Americans "with us or against us."

The current Republican brand would terrify the Founding fathers and George Orwell. Fascism is government leaders using fearmongering to impose their will. Ari Fleischer's "with us or against us" was not designed to make Americans feel safer.

A fascist government will make decisions in secrecy. Dick Cheney still hasn't released the names of those that attended his energy commission meetings. The Bush administration kept waterboarding and wiretapping secret. Bush and Cheney issued nondenials when news started leaking out. Bush and Cheney were later forced to admit waterboarding and wiretapping. Claiming the Constitution gave them the authority.

The Fourth amendment states "the right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated." The Eighth amendment prohibits cruel and unusual punishment. America is not fascist. The Bush administration steered America towards a fascist path. Bush was a president that publicly declared he had to aswer to no one. Republicans, such as Goldberg, believe fascists "isn’t an SS storm trooper; it is a female grade-school teacher with an education degree from Brown or Swarthmore." Orwell wrote about the misuse of the word fascism.

In conversation, of course, it is used even more wildly than in print. I have heard it applied to farmers, shopkeepers, Social Credit, corporal punishment, fox-hunting, bull-fighting, the 1922 Committee, the 1941 Committee, Kipling, Gandhi, Chiang Kai-Shek, homosexuality, Priestley's broadcasts, Youth Hostels, astrology, women, dogs and I do not know what else.

"They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Fewer Conservatives Supporting Iraq War

It is really bad when Armstrong Williams is no longer backing the Iraq war. You may remember the Bush administration's Education Department paid Williams $240,000 to positively spin No Child Left Behind on his talk show The Right Side. The Government Accountability Office ruled that the Williams' contract was illegal "covert propaganda." Williams repaid $34,000 in a settlement with the Justice Department.

All of which makes Williams denouncement of the administration's Iraq policy all the more surprising.

The U.S. can no longer be the military to the world. We must begin stepping off the world military stage and let other European nations provide the necessary might to stabilize the world where there is conflict. The U.S. throughout history has shown its commitment for fighting wars to prevent tyranny and then rebuild these nations as an exemplary world superpower. However, the Middle East has been fighting these wars for centuries and there is no end in sight. This administration must now admit that democracy in Iraq or anywhere in the Middle East (with the exception of Israel) is a foregone conclusion — can’t happen, won’t happen, never could happen.

It's amazing how honest conservative pundits are when they are no longer on the payroll.
