Peter King Mad at Marco Rubio

Rep. Peter King (R-NY) urges New York donors not to give a penny to Sen. Marco Rubio. King's reason is Rubio's vote against Hurricane Sandy relief.

"Rubio and these other Republican candidates are coming to New York to raise money," he said. "I don't think any Senator or congressman who voted against aid for Sandy should get one nickel for New York."
I have said this before, Rubio is a short game pol. Rubio will have a hard time explaining his votes on Hurricane Sandy relief and the Violence Against Women Act in a presidential election. His votes shows someone with outright extremist views. Rubio is worried about appeasing a dead tea party. The tea party (if the tea party is still around in 2016) is not going to deliver a general election victory to Rubio.

Good for Rubio! That Sandy bill was halfway loaded with pork for Dem constituencies, piggybacked on the Sandy victims. And the Violence Against Women act is pure federal overreach - every state has laws against domestic violence, rape. etc. So, what's the act for? The act is there to equate trying to limit the scope of the federal government with hating women. We don't even have any federal murder law!
