Wingnut of the Day: Judge Michael Malihi
Via Gottalaff: Georgia Duputy Chief Judge Michael Malihi has ordered President Barack Obama to appear in court. Malihi wants the president present at a hearing. At issue is the citizenship of Barack Obama. A complaint has been filed to take the president off the Georgia ballot.
Courts have repeatedly struck down the birther claims. Maihi has plenty of legal ruling to use. President Obama even held a press conference to show his long form birth certificate. I could go on and on about how this is utter nonsense
I guarantee that Glenn Reynolds and Michelle Malkin won't write posts about Malihi being an activist judge. That is because Reynolds and Malkin see the world with partisan blinders.

So you see this judge as and activist..But the notion that anyone questions that Obummer is not a national born citizen is a "birther" but this is not an activists stand. Your slobbering love affair with this mistake of a president will soon be over
freedomseeker, i rewrote your comment to make it much more readable so that i could reply to it.
"So, you see this judge as an activist, but you mock anyone who questions obummer's natural born citizenship as a birther. yet somehow you are not undertaking an 'activist' stand. Your slobbering love affair with this mistake of a president will soon be over."
there, that might not be a perfect rewriting (without altering the content significantly or the meaning thereof), but i think i can wrap my mind around your statement more easily now.
the core problem with a judge being an 'activist' is that a judge ought not seek to blaze new ground or create law where one does not exist. a judge ought not defy existing precedent without reason to do so, some new information. the justices who ultimately overturned the jim crow laws in the usa that banned interracial marriage defied a 1918 precedent from a us supreme court judge who stated explicitly that "god placed the races of man on separate continents, and no man ought join together what god hath separated." the justices in the 1970s court sessions that ultimately overturned this law considered new information, namely a more modern consideration that there was no specific need for people of different races to be forbidden to marry, despite a dissenting opinion from justices in that past era. in this case, the more modern justices defied older precedent.
in this georgia case, the justice is completely disregarding extensive and numerous case histories, and the fact that the president himself has presented his short and long form birth certificate for public examination. for this reason, it can accurately be stated that this case is being allowed to go forward for political reasons, and the way it is being run so far shows this in the actions of the judge.
Robert, thank you for the fantastic comment.
The President is immune from all subpoenas except those issued by the Senate or a federal judge. President Obama was born in Hawaii, regardless of the citizenship of his parents, this makes him a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES.
Amazing how commenters never address the actual evidence in this court case. I could care less where Obama was born, where you are born doesn't make you a "Natural Born Citizen", it is whether both of your parents where citizens of the U.S. of A. when you were born. Natural Born is different then basic citizen. Obama's extreme legal efforts to avoid his past educational and travel information from being released is just too much and is directly related to his citizen status. The media avoids this subject because it will tear the fabric of this country apart if Obama is found out by the everyday non-informed citizen to be the greatest con artist ever known and the American media covered it up.
Wingnuts, Crackers, Rednecks, FrootLoops... I will copy and paste this from the CONSITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I will paste it as slowly as possible so you can follow. READ it slowly and at least pretend you're trying to understand it:
Article II, Sec 1:
"No person except a natural born Citizen, OR A CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES ...shall be eligible to the Office of President"
@SFOrange I don't think anyone alive today was around when the Constitution was adoped. "No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States, at the time of the adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President."
In today's time, someone needs to be a natural born citizen meaning that citizenship was conferred upon birth.
