Kendrick Meek Zombie Watch: Progressive Bloggers Go Mad
You know progressive bloggers are desperate when they write about about implausible ways for Kendrick Meek to win. Daniel Tilson wrote this post describing Charlie Crist.
This hero's journey is all about sacrifice and redemption.
Is this a blog post or a passage from Joseph Campbell's "The Hero with a Thousand Faces." Tilson goes on to explain how Crist can be a hero worthy of Homer.
If Charlie Crist is in fact a post-partisan moderate who wants to put party politics aside and focus on the greater good, then his mission should be clear. The politically savvy, selfless and yes, the heroic move for Crist would be to withdraw from the Senate race before early voting begins and endorse Meek. If he does that, Meek wins, end of story. Only Charlie Crist has the power and capacity to give the large moderate majority of Florida voters a fair chance to reject the politics of extremism and divisiveness, while embracing the politics of centrism and inclusiveness.
BWAH! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!
A political animal like Crist dropping out?!? Surely Tilson jests. Crist left the Republican Party so he can continue his Senate campaign. Another problem with Tinson's scenario is Marco Rubio would still beat Meek if it was a two-man race. Rubio received more primary votes than Meek and Jeff Greene combined. Rubio has national name recognition, more money and a better campaign operation.
Crist isn't going to drop out. I do look forward to Tilson writing future posts about Crist going on a quest to find a magical sword and fighting hobbits.

Good grief, your ranting would have more credibility if you knew how to spell with consistency or accuracy, whether it be my last name - Tilson, thank you, not Tinson - and yes, Hobbit, not whatever mangled version of that you scrawled at the end of your rant. In fact, Meek would beat Rubio by anywhere from 3-7 points if Charlie fell on his sword before early voting started, regardless of what you tell us your numbers tell you. But like your dog with a bone crusade against Meek, Crist will likely be stubborn, fail to see his way to a brighter future, help elect Rubio, and miss an opportunity to reinvent himself and reinvigorate his political future. Pushing Rope? More like pushing snarky, snide, off the mark BS. But hey, thanks for the attention. Cheers, Dan Tinson - uh, Tilson.
What do you base Meek beating Rubio on? If Jeff Greene kept aggressively running ads Meek would be history. Meek had his mother give him his legislative and Congressional seats. He hasn't proved he can win a statewide race. Rubio got more votes than Meek and Greene combined.
As for my crusade, I am tired of Bill Clinton coming down to Florida and playing kingmaker for Senates candates as horrible as Hugh Rodman and Meek. There is a reason Democrats keep losing local and statewide races in Florida. My blog makes zero difference to the outcome of this race.
