Obama on the Stupak Amendment
Talking Points Memo's Amanda Carpenter reports on President Barack Obama's position on the Stupak-Pitts amendment in the health care bill.
Classic-Obama tells ABC no "sneaking in funding for abortions, but, on the other hand, that we're not restricting women's insurance choices"
Could Obama be anymore vague? The Stupak-Pitts amendment would restrict abortion for many low income women. Congressman Anthony Weiner fears health insurance companies will not paticipating in the exchange will offer private coverage for abortions. Insurance companies will not offer coverage for abortions, to stay in compliance with the law. This is what makes Obama's vagueness so unsatisfying.
