Perhaps Scarborough can explain how the failure to pass health care reform in 1993 helped Democrats. Republicans won 54 Congressional seats in 1994. Newt Gingrich called the 1994 electiona a "referendum on big government."

"Hillary Clinton had launched a massive health-care reform plan that wound up strangled by its own red tape," said Gingrich. The Democratic base and poll numbers support the public option. Scarborough ignores polling data and history to pronounce the public option politically bad for Democrats. I hope the GOP keeps listening to people like Scarborough.
