Tea Bagging Express Hits Washington D.C.
Stephanie Taylor is photographing the tea baggers in Washington D.C. The tea baggers aren't even trying to keep it classy. A tea bagger carries a sign saying,
"OBAMA
MORE CZARS
THAN THE
USSR"
I explained before, the czars were not socialists. The last czar Nicholas II was executed in Siberia by the Vladimir Lenin led Bolsheviks. No czars existed in Russia when the Soviet Union formed. Glenn Beck and the tea baggers need to open a history book.

The media needs to stop ignoring many tea baggers oppose President Barack Obama out of racially intolerance. It doesn't matter how many times the allegations against Obama are fact-checked. Tea baggers are going to continue Obama was born in Kenya and has a secret Muslim agenda. These people have a faith-based belief Obama is the anti-Christ. Reality isn't going to change their views.
Side note: no media reports of the White House denying Obama is a bloodsucking vampire. If Obama wasn't a vampire why doesn't Robert Gibbs come out and refute it. This is a job for the investigative skills of Power Line.

...through proxy. If Obama fights these battles himself then it really does become a race war. By addressing the racism, the other side will use Obama's defense against him by claiming the President himself is a racist for pointing out the racism of the attacks against him. I know, I know, this only makes sense to a wingnut or one who observes them... Obama himself cannot address these attacks, though, because then the national conversation shifts from health care to the petty attacks.
So Obama should stay above the fray on this one, in my opinion. And on the topic of keeping the national conversation on health care itself, it would help if Obama came out with a clear cut plan. I'll admit that I've been a passive observe of American politics lately, but whenever I pay attention to health care the one thing I don't hear is a clear plan. Just it will be this or it won't do that. Kinda tired of hearing what the plan will and won't do, I'd like to hear the plan itself. How will the plan insure coverage for all Americans and a drastic drop in administrative costs that continue eating away at our health care funds?
The mainstream media is rather afraid to label these people as racists. These are not informed people. They actually think the Soviet Union had czars.
Obama's best campaign moment (to me) was addressing the Rev. Wright controversy. Obama can talk about race without directly going after the tea baggers.
It was Wright who explictly brought up the issue of race, though. Obama didn't have any choice in whether or no the wanted to address the race issue at that point of the campaign -- he had to.
If there was one thing the Bush administration did right, as far as managing affairs went, it was ignoring protesters. Now I'm not saying this led to Bush doing good things, but it allowed his administration more leverage in controlling the agenda. If Obama addresses the protesters, then he's handing control of the agenda over to them, in my opinion. Obama can't allow this to happen.

He does. Obama had townhall meeting in red states. The Joint Sessions of Congress speech was aimed at easing the fear of tea baggers. Obama and Rahm think Republican Senators and tea baggers as the base. The public option is gone. Obama will give them more on tort reform and denying illegal immigrants health care.
Obama ordered the Progressive Caucus to vote for whatever bill he supports. He has done no arm twisting on the Gang of Six. Name one thing Obama has delivered to the progressive base. Obama isn't a progressive but the progressives were the people donating online and knocking on doors.
I am sick and tired of what is going about the issues in Washington, D.C....I have something to say and I want to talk about it.
