Did You Know Obama is The Anti-Christ?

Public Policy Polling found 14 percent of New Jersey Republican voters believe President Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ. 33 percent believe Obama was not born in the United States.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow talked with former Christian conservative Frank Schaeffer about the poll. Schaeffer is the author of the book "Crazy For God." Schaeffer tells Maddow most of the birthers/fundamentalists are beyond reaching out to. He says America needs to move past the fringe extremists.

Republicans are beholden to their religious and corporate special interests.
The GOP holds onto the Christian Right because their intellectual egghead base is small. A neoconservatist foreign policy and corporatist domestic policy is nothing to build mainstream voter support. Religious radicalism and ethnic fears is the bread and butter of the Republicans' Southern Strategy. The 2008 presidential election map shows Republicans did best in rural states.

Republican ideas consist of "less taxes" and "stay in Iraq." Bobby Jindal used the (Republican) federal response to Katrina as a call for less government. NFL coaches retain their jobs if they win football games. Republican think they can recite empty talking points, pander to their interest groups and retain office by not making the trains run on time. Good luck with that.
