The Giuliani Circus Is Not Coming to Sarasota

SARASOTA - There will be no circus here for GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani.

Three days after announcing that Giuliani would speak to local Republicans on Jan. 25 at the Sailor Circus Arena, the Sarasota County Republican Party has changed venues, concerned the location easily could be lampooned.

A candidate known for dressing in drag and making false claims about torturing mobsters is worried about being lampooned. Giuliani does a good job embarrassing himself. Giuliani's Christmas video is a comedy masterpiece.
