HCSO Investigation Found No Human Error

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office have completed their internal investigation. The findings concluded that the human error was the reason the 21 year-old rape victim did not get the second morning after pill. I'm not ready to be completely convince. These internal investigations always go out of the way not to punish government employees. The Tampa Police Department can sit on their findings for years before the public finds out who is at fault. We still don't know who failed to give the victim the second pill.

Last time I checked, the Tampa Police Department still hasn't released the final report on Strickland. He ignored the sexual harrassment of Officer Martha Gearity.

The behavior according to the investigation includes constant flagellation, belching and excessive sexual joking by male officers. It says quote "officer Gearity said that they talked about anal sex, they watched pornographic movies at work, talked about their sex lives in the open, made reference to her menstruation, joked about having homosexual relations with one another in graphic detail and took pictures of a penis with a camera phone."

Those involved include Officer Gregory Cotner, Officer David Duncan, Officer Ryan Sigler, and their superiors Corporal David Watt and Sergeant Gene Strickland.

Strickland also rigged traffic lights and conducted illegal searches of automobiles. His superiors have condemned the harrassment and searches has illegal. Strickland is still a member of the Tampa Police Department. If anyone in the private sector performed as unethically and immaturely they would be fired.

The police handling of this poor woman has been filled with "human errors." She would still be in jail if her lawyer didn't inform the media. What is needed is an outside investigation. That is the only way we will find out what really happened. Otherwise, the TPD will be allowed to perpetrate the lie that the victim made up her story. Considering, what she has been through - I'm will to give her the benefit of the doubt that a health care worker refused administering the second pill because of religious beliefs. My fear is the TPD is more concerned with ass covering than fact-finding.
