Ming the Fourth Amendment Poster Tiger

Strange, but true. In New York City, A Judge ruled that the police can ignore the fourth amendment if you have a tiger in the apartment. That's Ming in the picture. Ming's owner, Antoine Yates, was once bitten by his big kitty. Yates says he misses the big guy. Ming is now in Ohio. No word on the current whereabouts of Yates' alligator.

"I don't think he did anything wrong, besides keeping it in a project. It needed its own plot of land, like 110th Street, Central Park," said Yates' sister-in-law.

I'm sure the children in the park would have made tasty treats for Ming.

I don't believe a tiger should be in the projects, but it wouldn't have killed the NYPD to get a warrant. They had time to get a tranquilizer dart. The action is probably legal. Police can enter building if there is due probable cause or a danger to public safety. It's a legal grey area. I'm going to go out on a limb and say a tiger qualifies an immediate public hazard.
