Syria-born Canadian citizen, Maher Arar, is suing the United States for wrongfully being detained and extradited. Maher was detained at Kennedy International Airport on September 26, 2002. While, detained, Arar was flown by the MJG Aviation. The company is based in Florida. Arar was taken to Guantanamo Bay. What is now known is that the plane had a is based in Tampa.

Flight data obtained by CP shows the Gulfstream plane, with tail number N259SK, left Newfoundland's Gander International Airport Monday for Tampa, Fla.

The plane has been sold and ID number taken off the tail. There have been internet rumors that MJG Aviation is a CIA front company.

Arar was released October 5, 2003.
