Quote of the Day

"GOP: don't retreat! The country is going broke. We can't AFFORD cowboy poetry & subsidizing abortion."

Sarah Palin, on Twitter.

If only President Obama and House Speaker John Boehner would get serious about cutting cowboy poetry from the budget.

Fun fact: the Hyde Amendment forbids federal funding from abortion. Palin is either lying or doesn't know. Either is a possibility.

The Power of Shakespalin

The Washington Post declared Shakespalin a new language. Who am I to disagree. I have been making attempts to learn this new tongue. Here are my attempts.

Let the oil flow, crack open the Deep Horizon, and spill on all the seeds from which ungrateful liberals grow.

Refudiate is the word, sir.

To tweet or not to tweet. That is the question.

They have been great feast of languages, but none so mighty as Shakespalin.

Friends, Romans, Mama Grizzlies, lend me your tweets.

Shakespalin

They have been great feast of languages, but none so mighty as Shakespalin. Comedy Central has compiled a list a Shakespalin quotes made by Twitter users inspired by the prose of Sarah Palin.

But soft, what light from yonder window breaks? It is the East, and I can see Russia from my front porch. (freehawk)

To suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous liberals, or to quit halfterm, and by opposing, rake in speaking fees. (normative)

I come to the Republican Convention not to praise McCain, but to bury him. (AmyNitrate)

Mine is a tale told by an idiot — full of sound and fury, signifying nothing. (lesleyabravanel)
