Rangel Walks Out On Ethics Hearing

Rep. Charles Rangel is done. Rangel wanted the House Ethics Committee to read the charges against him in a closed hearing The committee declined.

(Blake) Chisam told an ethics panel of four Republicans and four Democrats, "There are no ... issues as to any material facts of this case. As a result the case is ripe for decision."

Rangel did not want the media to hear the ethics committee's findings. Rangel waled out on the pretense of needing an attorney present. Chisam read the 13 charges of financial and fundraising violations. Rangel failed to properly file tax returns. The Congressman used government stationary to solicit donations for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service at City College of New York. Rangel has also repeatedly filed inaccurate financial disclosure statements.

The Youtube clip of Rangel walking out of his own hearing will look like an admission of guilt to the voters. The Democratic Party needs to get Rangel out of Congress ASAP. Republicans will have a field day bashing Rangel in the next Congress.

The End?

Groundhog Day. continues:

“We pledged to support her to the end,” said Representative Charles W. Rangel, a New York Democrat who has been a patron of Mrs. Clinton since she first ran for the Senate. “Our problem is not being able to determine when the hell the end is.”

CNN Reports Hillary Clinton Will Concede Friday

I believe it when I see it.

A top Clinton fundraiser says it is expected to happen on Friday.

Obama and Clinton were in Washington on Wednesday to each address the influential American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The candidates ran into each other at the AIPAC conference and had a brief chat, Obama spokeswoman Linda Douglass said.

Hillary went to AIPAC to address Jewish voters as a presidential candidate. That is not the actions of a woman prepared to end her campaign.

Rep. Charles Rangel wonders why does Hillary Clinton need to wait until Friday to concede. It's bad when the staunch supporters are turning on Hillary.

"I would agree that after the math was in before her speech, that she could have been far more generous in terms of being more specific and saying that she wants a Democratic victory," Rangel said on MSNBC.

"I don't see what they're talking about in prolonging this," Rangel added. "There's nothing to prolong if you're not going to take the fight to the convention floor. ... I don't know why she could not have been more open in terms of doing up front what she intends to do later."

One anonymous source to CNN isn't enough to convince me. God knows, I want Hillary to concede. The only way Obama is going to get Hillary to concede is by playing hardball.
