Gov. Rick Scott vetoed money for legal aid and autism. Scott had no problem signing off on a $5 million rowing regetta for Sarasota County. It is no coincidence that Sen. Mike Bennett backed the rowing center. Is Scott going to try to convince voter that rowing is a job creator.

Scott billed himself as anti-rail. J.D. Alexander wanted the Sunrail project approved to create a rail line to his family-owned warehouses. Scott granted Alexander his wish. Bennett wanted a rowing regetta and Scott delivered. Remember Scott running as someone who would stand up to special interests?

I will be shocked if Scott doesn't sign-off on Alexander's pet project Polytechnic. Nothing screams fiscal conservatism like creating an independent school that no wants.
