Palin told Walters in an upcoming interview that she is strongly considering running for president, but declined to give a straight answer. "I'm engaged in the internal deliberations candidly, and having that discussion with my family, because my family is the most important consideration here," she told The New York Times. Walters interviewed Palin as part of her 10 Most Fascinating People program scheduled to air December 9 on ABC.
Why would Palin give up reality show and speaking engagement money? The only reason I can think of is ego. If Palin really was committed to public service she would have never resigned from being Alaska's governor.
Palin could very well be hinting at a presidential run for publicity. It's a brilliant marketing strategy. I don't see Palin having the organizational skills to put together a crack campaign team. Steve Schmidt and the other McCain people would never work for her.
Update: video of Palin with Waters.
