Obama's Several Gay Marriage Positions
Jonathan Chait of The New Republic has compiled a timeline on Barack Obama's impossible to pin down position on gay marriage. Obama's stance is confusing and he often contradicts himself.
An absolutely bizarre moment was Obama speaking to the Human Rights Campaign. Obama told gay rights activists that if he was advising the civil rights movement in 1961 he would tell them not to focus on interracial marriage. This is after Obama admits he is the child of a interracial marriage. The hypocrisy of his statement is stunning. What Obama is saying is he would not fight for his parents right to marry. It makes me wonder what Obama would fight for.

Um, you have taken the statement by the President completely out of context.
That's dishonest and exactly the ways in lack of integrity that is constantly demonstrated by those who oppose gay marriage.
There's nothing wrong with being critical of the president, just don't embellish things, take quotes out of context as you done here and not tell the complete truth.
It's very disappointing to see this.
Deewreck, Obama has said he opposes gay marriage. I support gay marriage. Obama's said he doesn't support changes to state constitutions to bar gay marriage. However, he does not support giving gay couples the right to marry. Obama's position legally makes little sense.
