Orly Taitz MSNBS Meltdown

Birther queen Orly Taitz has released a Kenyan birth certificate of Barack Obama. The problem is the birth certificate is a forgery. The fake birth certificate contains hysterical errors. Obama's year of birth is listed as 1964. The certificate states Obama was born in the Republic of Kenya. The wrong birthdate on the phony certificate means Obama would have been born in Dominion of Kenya. Dan Branch, assistant professor of African history at the University of Warwick declares Taitz's birth certificate a forgery.

It seems highly implausible and certainly a hoax. I have not seen any documents from this period in early 1964 that uses the heading of Republic of Kenya -- unsurprisingly given Kenya was not a Republic until December 1964. Moreover, the label of 'Region' was being used in early 1964 instead of 'Province.' While some of the old colonial forms may have still been in circulation, which would have used 'Coast Province,' these would have been headed as 'Colony & Protectorate of Kenya.'

Political Carnival has part of the transcript. David Shulter asks Taitz about her refusing an NBC limo because the driver has a Muslim sounding name? Taitz hesitates and then denies she did such a thing. If people don't think racism isn't driving the birthers then they are being intellectually dishonest?

David: Orly, ya gotta give me a second here.

Orly: Obama's brown shirts in the media...

David: Name one. You're making references to Nazi Germany to many of us who had relatives...

Tamron Hall: Orly, we've been fair and given you time...

Orly, cutting in... Tamron cuts her off, refusing to be interrupted:
