Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds on BBC

Thes performances of Red Right Hand, Mercy Seat and Stagger Lee originally aired on the BBC 4. Cave's voice is strong. The Bad Seeds play with precision and restraint. The brief moments of sonic fury more powerful. This was one of the great live bands.

Side note: there is no way Cave could sing Stagger Lee on American network television.
