Rush Limbaugh Apology Alert

We all remember Michael Steele having to apologize for refering to Rush Limbaugh as merely an entertainer. Rep. Todd Tiahrt poorly chose his words to the Kansas City Star.

Tiahrt was asked by a Kansas City Star Editorial Board member whether Limbaugh was now the de facto leader of the GOP.

"No, no, he's just an entertainer," Tiahrt said.

Tiahrt's spokesman Sam Sackett issued this apology to Limbaugh.

"The congressman believes Rush is a great leader of the conservative movement in America -- not a party leader responsible for election losses," Sackett told The Eagle editorial board. "Nothing the congressman said diminished the role Rush has played and continues to play in the conservative movement."

I love the party that claims only they can protect us from terrorism can't even stand up to Limbaugh. Meghan McCain is the only Republican willing to take shots at right-wing pundits. That could change if the younger McCain decides to run for office.
