"We're running out of rich people in this country."
That would explain why AIG executives received bonuses.
Bachmann appeared recently on John Hinderaker's and Brian Ward's radio show to call for an armed revolt against President Barack Obama's cap-and-trade energy tax.
“I want people in Minnesota armed and dangerous on this issue of the energy tax because we need to fight back. Thomas Jefferson told us ‘having a revolution every now and then is a good thing,’ and the people – we the people – are going to have to fight back hard if we’re not going to lose our country. And I think this has the potential of changing the dynamic of freedom forever in the United States.”
If Bachmann was as unhinged as she appears, she would have gone postal or been institutionalized years ago. I find it more disheartening that she carelessly uses words to play to the conservative base. I don't believe Bachmann is anything resembling a moderate. However, if Bachmann really wanted an armed revolution, she would be making bombs and not working on Capital Hill.
