About a series of violent rapes and murders of women in Juarez, Mexico, which got up past 500 before any case was solved. They were all poor women, working late night in factories making products for Americans, so who gave a damn?

This is what I get for revisiting the CD and wondering if there ever was a resolution to the cases after the publicity the band brought them.

I didn't even have cable when this album came out, and I still remember the music video. It's f--king haunting. One of the best examples ever of entertainers (hate using the term for such an amazing band) using their platform to actually spread awareness about something that until that point a vast majority of listeners/watchers had never even heard of.
