Quote of the Day

"If Hillary's the nominee, Barack will be the running mate. If Barack's the nominee, Hillary will be the running mate. That's my answer."

Bill Nelson

What is Nelson smoking? Hillary is not going to be the nominee. Despite John Amato's hissy fit that pundits shouldn't declare Barack Obama the nominee. Obama is going to be the nominee. Hillary is not going to get enough delegates to secure the nomination. Apparently, Amato shares the same disdain with mathematics that he vents on Tim Russert.

Nelson has used to Florida primary controversy to position himself as Hillary Clinton's VP pick. It is the worst secret in politics. Nelson knows his only way to the White House is on Hillary's coat tails. Nelson does not have the name recognition and charisma to mount his own dark horse presidential campaign.

Nancy Pelosi scoffed at the suggestion of a Hillary-Obama ticket.

Pelosi: I think the Clinton administration has fairly ruled that out, by claiming that Senator McCain would be a better Commander in Chief than Obama.

I think so, too.
