Rudy Giuliani asked senior campaign staffers to forego pay.

"We have enough money, but we could always use more money," contended Mike DuHaime, Giuliani's campaign manager and one of those who now is working for free. "We want to make sure we have enough to win."

Giuliani's amazingly stupid strategy of blowing off Iowa and New Hampshire was a serious error. Future candidates will look at Giuliani and Fred Thompson as blueprints on how not to run a presidential campaign.
