O'Neal Dozier Strikes Again

O'Neal Dozier dressed in a military uniform and declared himself a Christian warrior for Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jim Naugle's homophobic bathroom crusade. Dozier said Jesus personally told him Charlie Crist will be Florida's next Governor. Crist rewarded Dozier by taking him off his campaign committee. No word on if Jesus told Crist to.

Dozier's xenophobia towards Muslims is well documented. Dozier adds sexist to the list with his recent comment about Hillary Clinton.

"At this time in America we need to have a good strong godly man to lead America, and not a woman," he said.

Dozier is a backer of Republican Mike Huckabee for president. And he is critical of many of the other Republicans, including Mitt Romney. But, he said, any of the Republicans "would be better than Hillary Clinton."

Dozier's gender reason No. 1 is Islam.

"This is a bad time for America to appoint a woman as president of the United States of America. And the reason this is a bad time is because we're fighting Islamic fascism. And Islam has absolutely no respect for women. And to have a woman in that position, as a commander in chief of the military and the head of the free world, I'm afraid would cause the Islamic fascists, and the Islamic community to look at America as a weak nation."

A great irony is that Dozier cites feminism as a reason Clinton shouldn't be President. Think about that for a moment. Dozier is against women advancing and be treated equally as men. Get a load on Dozier's views of how Clinton would affect the military.

"It would weaken the military. Because I don't believe that a lot of men would be willing to serve under a woman commander in chief of the military. I just don't believe that. I think that you still have a lot of guys out there who feel like I feel that that's not the role for a woman," he said.

So Dozier believes the insecurity of certain men automatically disqualifies Clinton from the White House.

What kills me about Dozier is he is against candidates for the most idiotic reasons. Dozier doesn't talk about wonkish policy matters. He bases his support on flippant reasons.

Dozier said he won't support Barack Obama: "I don't see the patriotism." That is hardly a scietific reason to be against a candidate. Dozier's logic reminds me of Sean Hannity's complaint that Obama doesn't wear American flag lapels.

If anyone wants proof that Dozier isn't smart look no further than how fast Jeb Bush dumped him after his anti-Muslim comments. Dozier's political clout amongst Florida Republicans is zero. Why is he still given a media pulpit to preach intolerance?

Mustang Bobby and Alex have posts on the Dozier.
