:: Imus Trouble With Words ::

What's the difference between what Imus said compared with Melanie Morgan and her cohorts Officer Vic and Lee Rodgers  of Hate Radio.  Imus said something contemptible about a the women members of the Rutger's BB team after they lost.  Melanie, et al say malicious miserable hideous hate filled and violent rhetoric about anyone they choose to disagree with on every day of the week to the point that people go out and commit violent acts.  Yet these people are still on the air.

Imus apparently has a streak of prejudice.  Go figure.  It does not surprise me that someone who has said the things he has about various and sundry people on "opinion radio" would stoop to mild KSFO trickery to gain attention.  Frankly, I don't know whether Imus even believes what spewed out of his mouth.  The guy, just like Limbaugh, is merely an entertainer.  Sadly, they wouldn't be successful if the invective spewed by their ilk wasn't popular.  That he (and others like him) uses others and purposefully says malicious things to garner ratings is a statement about our society/culture and is absolutely pitiful.

I don't feel sorry for Imus.

Or, Melanie.

Or, Limbaugh.

Or, Coulter.

Or, O'Reilly......or their ilk.

I don't listen to that drivel.

Frankly, I rarely, if ever, think of them at all.

I do feel sorry for our world of ignorance.

Now, get rid of the rest of these nincompoops.

As Imus found out, there is a thin line between love and hate.... and he managed to tip the scale.

  2. The most galling thing about Imus's comments is the platform he made them from. Other celebrities make questionable comments, but hardly any with the stature that Imus enjoyed did because everybody went on his show.

There's a bunch of cocksucking politicians in Washington, always looking for attention, and they always wanted to place Imus's meatstick in their mouth no matter how dirty it was. Anything for a little press, you know? But everybody seemed to go on this buffon's radio circus. For example, Bill Clinton was a constant regular guest on Imus during the 1992 election. The man got all the notables on his show... And no matter how nasty Imus became over the years, politicians still placed that cock in their mouth. All for a little attention.

I love politics. Can't you tell?

  3. Good question... what's the difference between Imus and Morgan, Rodgers, and Officer Vic at KSFO... I'm looking for answers on this one...

  4. Suskind: I'm assuming that is rhetorical in nature.

To me, there is little if any difference between them all.....it's merely degrees of seperation. All of which results, ultimately, in hate.

Using the words makes him a shock jock hate mongering bigoted ass and believing it is entertainment to belittle others based on their DNA is absurd and ultimately spawned more tragedy in the world, or as much as, religion and war.

As tas says, going along with Imus popularity to be on his show, laughing at his so-called humor, even when you disagree makes you just as liable when you choose to ignore the aberrant, ignorant and bigoted behavior.
