Open Thread: Obama's Official In

Barack Obama officailly announced his presidential campaign. He also recently captivated an audience of Florida Democrats.

I'm pretty excited. I don't think will be as big an issue as people think. I think Obama is the best candidate to derail Hillary.

Obama nicely invoked Lincoln in his speech.

Wearing an overcoat but gloveless on a frigid morning, Mr. Obama invoked a speech Lincoln gave at this same spot in 1858 condemning slavery — “a house divided against itself cannot stand” — as he started his campaign to become the nation’s first black president.
