Frank Sanchez Courted By Barack Obama

Tampa resident Frank Sanchez has confirmed he has been asked by Barack Obama to be a campaign advisor. The Senator wants Sanchez to work on Latin American affairs and international aviation.

Sanchez has an interesting resume. He is a Kennedy School graduate. Sanchez served under Bill Clinton in the Office of the Special Envoy for the Americas. Later, he was promoted to Assistant Secretary for Aviation and International Affairs. He is currently the CEO of Cambridge Negotiation Strategies. Sanchez also got crushed by Pam Iorio in a run-off election for Mayor of Tampa.

Some people are better behind the scenes than front and center. Sanchez is one of them. He's a smart guy. Obama is making a good play trying to make him a member of his team.

This is purely speculation on my part: I wouldn't be surprised if Sanchez tells Obama he wants a cabinet position. This guy will want to be part of shaping policy. I love to hear to deal-making between them.
