Hagel Calls Out Cheney On Nonsense

On Face the Nation, Bob Scheiffer asked Chuck Hagel about Dick Cheney's disapproval of Congress questioning the wisdom of the surge.

"Let me ask you this, Senator. Vice President Cheney says this sort of thing undercuts the troops. What’s your response?"

Hagel responded the Cheney's comment was "nonsense" and when he was in Vietnam he wished that Congress would have paid more attention in 1968.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cheney called Hagel a cut and runner. That would show how desperate the White House is if they target a Republican Vietnam vet.
