Tom Reynolds Spins a Tale of B.S.

Tom Reynolds is now saying that he made Tom Foley to resign. (Audio clip.) Let's go through the timeline.

February/March 2006 - Reynolds is told by Rodney Alexander of the complaint from first page about Tom Foley's emails.

After first email complaint - Reynolds asks Foley to run again.

In another stunning development, Robert Novak today reveals in his column - published in PostOpinion on Page 31 - that even after House GOP leaders knew that Foley had written an inappropriate e-mail to a 16-year-old former male page, they were still urging him to seek re-election.

Novak writes, "A member of the House leadership told me that Foley, under continuous political pressure because of his sexual orientation, was considering not seeking a seventh term this year but that Rep. Tom Reynolds, chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), talked him into running."

May 10, 2006 - Reynolds political action committee donates $5,000 to the Tom Foley campaign.

July 27, 2006 - Foley donates $100,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee. The Chairman is Tom Reynolds.

These are not the actions of a man that tried to stop Foley's behavior toward male teens.
