Florida District 13 A Toss Up

Wayne Garcia reports that Florida's District 13 is now a toss up. Wayne found this piece of analysis at the The Cook Report. I have no idea which pdf file he found it in. I will rely on the power of truthiness to say that Wayne is being straight with his readers.

I will add that many lefties pounded me for supporting Christine Jennings and not Jan Schneider. My reasoning was simple. Schneider is terrible at raising money and had no chance of winning. Other than that, I think she's a wonderful person.

Contribute to Christine Jennings.

There is also the question of why Jennings opponent,Vern Buchanan had a judge seal a court documents involving Buchanan's lawsuit against the Ritz-Carlton. Buchanan hinted that he would unseal the documents after the primary. Alas, the documents are still sealed.

It seems that Buchanan went to the Duke Cunningham school of real estate. Buchanan sued because he was cut out of the Ritz estate deal. Buchanan bought a condo for $5 million. $2 million more than the actual value. He sold the condo for $6.35 million. Which he used the sales difference for a capital gains savings of $200,000. The kicker was the sale and resale were on the same day.

The lawsuit was unsealed, look at it yourself, and then tell us what's shady about it.
