The cartoon clearly contains a suggestion that Bush campaign for candidates. Michael Hussey clearly wishes to get readers to set aside skepticism that the cartoon (showing Bush campaigning with representative Democrat donkey) is inaccurate by referring to the scene following the SoTu.
You can deny it all you want Michael, but it's no strawman. If that's not the impression you wished to convey, then you should be apologizing for the words you used, not pretending that you did not type them.

The post seems to suggest that the Bush/Lieberman smooch was made as Bush campaigned for Lieberman.
It happened after the 2005 SotU address, according to this source.
Michael couldn't be expected to pass up the opportunity to misinform, I suppose.
I never made that suggestion. I'm well aware of where it happened since I watched the SOTU. The Strawman argument.
