Weak Excuse

District 10 candidates Stephen Gorham, Sandy Murman and Ray Young will debate this Thursday. Ronda Storms says she can't make the debate. She has a County Commission meeting. You may recall that Storms already submitted her resignation to the Commission. I'm sure her fellow Commission members would be more than happy to allow Storms the time off.

It's really a joke Commission members take time off all the time. Jim Norman has a history of taking leave without feeling the need to informing the public. If Storms was running behind in the polls, she would have a hurricane-level temper tantrum. Since she's ahead she feels no need to talk to voters in a public forum. Especially, if another candidate might outdate her and call her out on her Ann Coulter-style discourse.

Storms has caused Hillsborough County national embarrassment with quoting Korn lyrics and banning public displays of gay pride. She even tried to disqualify gay man John Dausman from winning the Moral Courage award. I say Dausman has more moral courage than a candidate who ducks her opponents.
